Here are some more twitter tips and tricks. You, as an indie author (or any author for that matter) need to take advantage of multiple sources when promoting your books. It’s important to build your following – people are not going to magically find you (at least not in droves). You have to find them.

Here are some tips not just for indie authors, but book bloggers, reviewers and anyone else who wants to grow their following. I would also encourage you to read my other Twitter posts, Twitter Advice for Writers and Warning – What Twitter Won’t Do For You.
I forgot to show you one more thing. When I’m manually following people, I check to see how active they are. It does you no good to follow someone who’s last tweet was a year ago (or even a few weeks ago). So when you are following people, you can click on their profile to see their latest tweets. If it’s a while ago, I would consider if you want to follow them .
For automation, I use tweetaddr (affiliate). It’s a great tool for the price. It can auto follow and unfollow, as well as send out tweets, respond to mentions, and more. If you decide to use tweetaddr, let me know – I’m happy to help you learn how to use it. If I get enough people saying they are using it, I’ll do some how-to videos on it as well.
