Indie Authors – Blog Hopping!

Hey all, here’s a chance to ring in the holidays and show your support of indie authors!  I am participating in two blog hops!  I must be crazy…no, seriously this is a lot of fun!  It’s a chance for me to promote my mystery series (that have a hint of film noir in them) and horror books, but it’s also a chance to get to know great indie authors as well.  The blog hops are the Holiday Blog Hop and the 12 Days of Creepfest!

What’s involved in a blog hop?  Prizes, prizes!  Books, books!  And more!  Great crime fiction, horror books, romance, fantasy and much more!  The GRAND prize for the Holiday Blog Hop is a Kindle Fire.  The hop runs from December 15th – 25th.  Visit the participating blogs for prizes on each one.

Here’s what you do – click on the links to be taken to the main blog page for each blog and visit the other blogs – each one has a prize and the Kindle (for the Holiday Blog Hop) will be drawn from the pool of individual blog winners – so you have a chance to win lots of prizes.

What’s Your Contest Renee?

I’m glad you asked.

Here’s what one lucky winner will receive from me!  My horror book, the bestselling Nephilim Genesis of Evil, and my crime fiction novel This Doesn’t Happen In The Movies (the first in the Reed Ferguson mystery series).  Both are ebooks.  I will conduct a random winner from the entrants on December 26th (sorry, I will be with family on Christmas Day so you’ll have to wait :)).  You must provide me your contact info so I can get in touch with the winner.

Now here’s my contest.  The private eye in my Reed Ferguson mystery series (Reed, of course) loves film noir.  I occasionally post about great film noir classics.  Comment on any of these film noir posts (yes, you have to go read them) with your thoughts, and say that you’re part of the Holiday Blog Hop or Creepfest, and you are entered into the drawing.  How easy is that?

Again, this is a great way to support indie authors and me, the author of crime fiction (This Doesn’t Happen In The Movies and Reel Estate Rip-off) and horror books (Nephilim Genesis of Evil) :)

So make a comment and get entered into the drawing for my books, then click on the right sidebar to return to Creepfest and the Holiday Blog Hop!

Everyone should check out Renee’s paranormal thriller, Nephilim :) I read it and it reminded me of how thrilling horror stories can be. Have a wonderful holiday.

  11. Hi, Renee -

I think the best part of your Holiday Hop is what I learned about film noir! Your definition makes so much sense to me!

“The Maltese Falcon” is truly one of my favourite movies, but I did not know it was considered to be the first noir movie. And I had NO idea there were two earlier films! Incredible! I am going to have to try to get hold of those films.

And also John Huston’s directorial debut – another thing I did not know.

Anyway, even though I did not know lots of stuff about “The Maltese Falcon” and film noir, may I please enter the Holiday Hop Giveaway? I know you will be kind.

My email address: madley (AT) cogeco (DOT) ca
    Thank you, Renee.

Thanks for stopping by :) and consider yourself entered (even though you’re supposed to comment on one of the film noir posts lol).

  13. Susan Ricci says:

Yep, I’m caught, I didn’t comment on the film noir, but if you’ve read any of my Holiday Hop posts, you’ll know why I don’t have the time, Renee, but I WILL get to it soon. I always look to your posts, though, for sound advice and always tweet/share your blogs. They just make damn, fine sense to me, anyway. Not brown nosing, by the way, just sayin… Happy Holidays to you! And yeah, pick ME, lol.

    • ReneePawlish says:

You’re fine, don’t worry about getting to the other post. And you made me laugh, always a good thing. Thanks for all the support and I have you entered into the contest :) Isn’t this time of year red-nosing, not brown-nosing?

  14. Lynn Hubbard says:
